All of the prints are handmade by Richard Hardwick, so whilst the image area will be almost identical on each print, the surrounding marks created by coating with a brush do differ.

The brush marks themselves create a dark border around the image and can be used as part of the presentation when displaying the artwork.

Alternatively, a window mat can be used to mask the brush marks and neatly display the image area. It's a personal preference which option to select when framing work.

The main image is of the actual print available to purchase.

The best way to present your artwork is to have it professionally framed behind glass and using archival mats. When hanging a picture it is best to avoid direct sunlight or areas of moisture.

All of my prints are stored and dispatched in archival clear bags from Clearfile. Prints are placed in a black presentation box, the same type Ilford use for their darkroom paper for protection during shipping.

All artworks will be dispatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery, a fully insured premium service guaranteed to be delivered by 1:00pm the day after posting (excluding weekends).

Dispatch times do vary, please bear this in mind when ordering. Please enquire via the Contact form if you need to agree a delivery date.

You are more than welcome to collect your artwork from my studio at Market House Studios in Fleetwood, Lancashire.

Please let me know if that would be your preference prior to making your purchase so we can agree a mutually acceptable date and time.

Collection is strictly by appointment only for purchases made on this website.

I want you to be delighted with your purchase. If you have any issues whatsever, please get in touch within 14 days of receiving your purchase and I will endeavor to resolve matters to your satisfaction.

Any returns must be in perfect condition, including the original packaging.

In the unlikely event a print is lost or damaged during delivery, please get in touch within 7 days and retain all of the original packaging. In the the case of damage some photographs of the issues would be very useful.
